I like Chinese food, but in England hasn't found a good chainese takeaway yet ;( Sometimes you can go crazy and prepare something not very healthy at home... And that's how it was with this chicken :PThe meat is soft with crunchy coat in sweet and salty sauce ... tasty :)
Ingredients:- For the marinade:* 120 ml broth,* 60 ml soy sauce,* 40 ml liquid honey,* 25 ml rice vinegar,* 2 tbsp brown sugar,* 1 tbsp cornstarch,* 1 tsp sesame oil,* 2 chicken breasts, cut into large cubes,- For the sauce:* 1 tbsp sesame oil* 2 cloves garlic, minced,* 1 tbsp grated ginger,* pinch chili flakes,* 2 tbsp clear honey,- For the coat:* 1 egg white,* 3/4 cup cornstarch,* 1/4 cup all purpose flour,* 1/2 tspn baking soda,* oil for frying* sesame seeds for sprinkling,* handful chopped spring onions,
Preparation:Marinade.All the marinade ingredients mix in a bowl, cover with foil or lid and let stand overnight in the refrigerator.Pour 40 ml marinade ( for sauce ).Do not pour the marinade.When meat is ready.In small pan, heat the tablespoon of sesame oil nad fry for 2 minutes, garlic, ginger, a pinch of chili flakes add the reserved marinade and honey.Cook for a few minutes until the sauce thickens and darker.Remove from heat and set aside.Coating.Mix corn flour with all purpose flour and baking soda .Egg white whisk to stiff foam .Mix flour, gradually adding the marinade from chicken until the appropriate thicknes - the dough should be a little more dense than for pancakes.In a small saucepan , heat the large amount of oil ( about 5 cm) .Dry chicken pieces with paper towel, split into two parts and toss with egg whites and then in the dough.Fry the chicken putting a few chicken pieces at the time, turning frequently until they are lighty brown.Put it on a paper towel.Heat previously prepared sauce, add chicken and toss to coat.Serve with rice , sprinkled with sesame seeds and spring onions.
